Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary PepsiCo

Dave Yawman is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of PepsiCo and a longtime leader in global corporate governance, ethics and sustainability. 

Dave assumed his current role in 2017 and leads PepsiCo's worldwide legal and compliance and ethics functions.  In this role, Dave works with the company’s Board, CEO, and senior leadership teams to develop and maintain strategic and effective approaches to the myriad legal and ethical issues that arise daily within a US multinational company operating in virtually every country in the world.

During his tenure at PepsiCo, Dave worked to establish company governance structures and policy positions in support of PepsiCo’s Winning with Purpose philosophy, the company’s fundamental belief that the success of the company is inextricably linked to the sustainability of the world around us. His work has included a commitment to operating responsibly to protect our planet and empowering people around the world to drive a sustainable business model that creates long-term value.

Dave has more than 22 years of experience at PepsiCo, spanning positions across PepsiCo’s businesses and former bottling group.  Amidst various legal roles, Dave also served as Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer, overseeing compliance and ethics matters around the world.

Before joining PepsiCo in 1998, Dave was an associate with the law firm Fried Frank and served as a law clerk in the United States District Court.

Dave currently serves as Chair of the Board of the Pro Bono Partnership and is a current Board member and two-time past Chair of the Board of the United Way of Westchester & Putnam Counties.  Dave was recently appointed by the Chief Judge of the State of New York to serve on the New York State Business Council on Access to Justice.

Dave graduated with honors from Rutgers University School of Law and received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
