Mr. Bonhomme is a long-time leader in sustainability and corporate responsibility thought leadership in business and philanthropy. He is co-founder and Managing Partner of Thorobird Companies, focused on large scale sustainable real estate development designed to enhance urban communities and provide affordable, healthy housing for people in distressed situations, especially woman who suffer domestic abuse and dislocation.

Mr. Bonhomme has long spearheaded initiatives for businesses to play a vital role in solving environmental and social issues through innovation, market development and entrepreneurship. He serves as an Advisory Board Member with Cornell University’s Center for Sustainable Global Enterprise, dedicated to research, teaching and engagement related to helping businesses address these problems. The Center provides distinctive experiential learning opportunities and collaborates with organizations to help to tackle major ESG challenges of our time, such as climate change, ecosystem degradation, and poverty.

His work in business and finance has been a strong foundation to Mr. Bonhomme’s work in sustainable enterprise solutions. He joined J.P. Morgan in the Leverage Finance Department in 1998. He later joined Goldman Sachs & Co., where his tenure included investment banking, fixed income and asset management. Mr. Bonhomme personally managed relationships with a diverse group of institutional investors, including private equity funds, hedge funds, mutual funds, banks, corporations, insurance companies and state funds, with a client base in excess of $850 billion under management. He generated trade ideas and helped formulate investment strategies in fixed income securities and derivatives. Mr. Bonhomme also underwrote, closed and funded $3 billion in private equity transactions. Mr. Bonhomme separately served as Chief Operating Officer and Strategic Advisor to Eagle National Bank.

Mr. Bonhomme received his M.B.A from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management, where he was a Robert Toigo and MLT fellow and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Colgate University, where he graduate with Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude distinctions, as well as with Honors in Philosophy and Religion.

Mr. Bonhomme serves on First State Community Loan Fund, Cornell Diversity Council, Strath Haven A Better Chance Program Board, Colgate’s Alumni Board of Directors, President Club, Regional Director of Colgate’s Alumni of Color Committee and Board of Trustees of Second Baptist Church. His volunteer work includes sponsoring, mentoring, and academic advising students in the A Better Chance program.
